Your Ideal Pokémon Tales: Z-A Super Form According to the Zodiac Sign
This return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread enthusiasm across the community. Starting with the gradual reveal of fresh additions before the game's launch, to players developing strong views on the full roster of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to anticipate.
Given many of the Super Forms showcasing unique designs that emphasize their traits, one idea came to mind: How can connect this with zodiac signs? This list is inspired by a blend of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.
The Ram – Super Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was nearly selected for Aries, as they are the Super Form and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom appears as constantly furious, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, known for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes Aries much more akin to Super Camerupt, which solely spews lava when angered. Remain on the good side of either and benefit from a strong partner; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Much like a loyal Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, whether in its regular and Super Form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the creature and a Bull are still Fighting types, and – whether it's their trainer or a firm belief – will stand up for their position to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Many past Pokédex entries mention their fondness for tasty sap and how it employs its horn to collect it everything, which is true Taurus energy.
Gemini – Mega Medicham
Look at this total royalty. It's impossible to convince me this creature is not the life of any gathering, offering an endless stream of gossip to anyone who wish to listen. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly simple to imagine Super Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their stories. This Pokémon's official description also states its ability to predict an opponent's next moves, which sounds very similar to a socially-savvy Gemini.
Cancer – Mega Manectric
The Crab is widely considered as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a passionate sign known for often getting wrapped up in their feelings. Per the official info, Mega Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “huge amount of energy, but it's too much for this Pokémon to fully control,” which seems a lot like a classic Crab crash-out. It is also recognized for its capability to create a thundercloud over its very self – and if there’s one thing a Crab is likely to do, it’s spoil their good time.
The Lion – Super Starmie
Well, did you think I was going to select the lion Pokémon for the lion of the zodiac? Besides the reality that it would be much too on the nose, The Lion is obviously Mega Starmie, the star whose legs just went viral for being extremely glamorous (or terrifying, based on your preference). Players couldn’t look away from the violet sea star, and that’s precisely the same energy a Leo offers to the table. Starmie is also said to be broadcasting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Leo to be putting on a show, albeit for aliens.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and constantly-worried Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant digestive issues. The sign famous for being charmingly judgmental is clearly reflected throughout this creature's whole lineage, from a always shocked face like a Maiden when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the emoji a Maiden sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a plan.
Libra – Mega Audino
Look at this gentle, sensitive being, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how people are feeling by their pulse. Consistently compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to maintain the harmony, there are many Libras who would likely benefit from Super Audino's skills. Though, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to worry even more about others.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
Banette is a creature with a surprisingly sad backstory: Abandoned as a doll, it became sentient through pure resentment and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That seems precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Super Banette.
Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly staging a performance. Being a Archer personally, the number of times I’ve called myself some version of a “playful small entertainer” is innumerable. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius counterpart I can imagine.
Capricorn – Mega Absol
Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to predict calamities ahead of time? That gives the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who often always think they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a visionary Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Mega trend.
The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure
Aloof air sign Aquarius is arguably the non-fire placement that is most like a fire sign – its sister sign is Leo, and there are countless jokes about the Archer and Water Bearer being unpredictable partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s double Ghost/Fire category fits perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting presence is also extremely Aquarius. If you weren’t already convinced, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “draws in negative energy and transforms it into power.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
