Despite embarking on their first-ever European campaign, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Missing star figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a commanding result that all but secures them a spot in the Conference League playoffs.
A further victory in their next fixture against Finland's KuPS ought to be sufficient to secure straight entry to the knockout stages, particularly after a prior setback against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Seize the Opportunity
This match provided a platform for several Palace's fringe talent to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning after arriving on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a well-taken goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second game in succession.
The Shelbourne side that had finished their league season were outmatched even for a largely rotated Palace lineup. The visitors were already depleted by the news that Mateta and Muñoz are out with knee injuries.

Ex-Arsenal striker didn't need to wait long to get his goal, tapping home from a yard out after Uche's shot had struck the post.
The home side were hanging on for dear life. Defender Kameron Ledwidge was fortunate to escape a booking for two robust tackles on Yeremy Pino, before Chris Richards struck the crossbar with a powerful header from a corner.
Pino Seals the Game
The match was as good as over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past some comically weak challenges before coolly dispatching a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
After the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw several players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring his very first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still scope for improvement in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise positive evening for the visiting side.
