The British government is set to progress with using the total value of frozen Russia's holdings to aid Ukraine's military campaign, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a collective announcement, the officials of the UK, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany stated that this unified step would heighten pressure on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and compel Russia to come to the table.

They added that the initiative would be implemented in close cooperation with the America.

United Kingdom sanctions have immobilized in excess of £25bn of Russian resources since Russia initiated its widespread offensive against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. Yet, previously, resources allocated to the Ukrainian government using Russian holdings had exclusively been taken from gains and dividends generated on them.
