Tottenham Hotspur's European final hero Brennan Johnson is facing an unclear situation at the club due to growing Premier League attention in his services.

Reports indicate that Tottenham, while not actively seeking to sell the Wales international, are open to a potential departure if they get a suitable bid.

The Eagles are presently the team most advanced in their pursuit for Johnson, but a number of sides are said to be keeping tabs on his status closely.

Last Campaign of Mixed Fortunes

Johnson was Spurs' top top-flight scorer the previous campaign with 11 strikes, and secured his place in Spurs folklore by netting the winner in their Europa League final victory over United in Bilbao, bringing to a close the club's 17-year wait for a major honor.

However, the departure of Ange Postecoglou and arrival of Thomas Frank has meant Johnson playing more of a peripheral role in the current campaign.

The Welsh forward, has been granted only six Premier League starts this term.

Consequently, a number of clubs have been made aware of his possible departure ahead of the winter transfer window.

Considering his reduced minutes and the prospect of a global tournament on the horizon with his national team, a transfer elsewhere from Tottenham may suit Johnson in January.

The attacker moved to Tottenham from Forest in a deal valued at £47.5m in the summer of 2023 and has notched 27 goals for the club.
