The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
